Groups
Small group is great way for students to learn the skills they need to succeed socially and academically. In group, student learn that they are not alone and that others share their experiences.

Some groups meet all year long while others meet for
6-8 weeks. Groups may be facilitated by:

ACADEMIC SUPPORT
Peer 2 Peer Tutoring is weekly after school program with members of National Junior Honor Society volunteering as tutors. Tutors work one on one with students on all subjects.

ISpot Middle School Program
The Good Grief Group
This 7-week support group is for students who are affected by the death of a loved one; facilitated by Caring Matters counselor and a school counselor. Referrals are received from the students themselves; parents; or school staff. Students will need permission from parents to participate in this group.

Minority Scholars Program In collaboration with Blake High School, this after school program meets twice a month with 7th grade male and female students that are paired up with a high school mentor. Students have an opportunity to engage in team building activities, examine current events impacting the youth and explore their feelings around their academic growth and potential as a student.(MSP)
